Armenia was the first nation to accept Christianity in 301 AD. Years later, they would be faced with the ultimate test of faith. Remaining unshakable in Christ, despite torture and persecution, they persevered to the end. The Armenians are a strong, tenacious, yet equally tender community of people. We pray that they will always run back to the arms of their first Love, Jesus Christ, and call on His name in days of trial and joy alike.
In commemoration of the Armenian Genocide:
A century and two years later, we remember the losses and the gains – "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain" (Phil 1:21).
We remember that God was with our ancestors, our forefathers, He is with us now, and will be with future generations to come.
He never left, He never will.
Their pain, became ours.
Their sorrows, become ours.
We learned to mourn with those who mourn.
In time, we learned to rejoice, with all our hearts.
We were witnesses to His mercies, new every morning, shining the light of His glory.
Their blood-stained flesh became one with the soil.
Their tears were the water that, in time, made the new flowers grow.
"Yet you, God, are sovereign still, always and ever sovereign. You’ll get up from your throne and help Zion— it’s time for compassionate help. Oh, how your servants love this city’s rubble and weep with compassion over its dust! The godless nations will sit up and take notice —see your glory, worship your name— When God rebuilds Zion, when he shows up in all his glory, When he attends to the prayer of the wretched. He won’t dismiss their prayer." – Psalm 102:12-17
Հայաստանը դարձավ առաջին ազգը ստանալու քրիստոնեությունը տարում 301. Դար սերունդների անց, նրանց հավատքը դաժանաբար փորձարկվել: Մնալով անսասան է Քրիստոսի, չնայած խոշտանգումների եւ հետապնդումների, նրանք համբերեց մինչեւ վերջ: Հայերը շատ ուժեղ, համառ, սակայն հավասարապես քնքուշ համայնք մարդիկ են: Մենք աղոթում ենք, որ նրանք միշտ վերադառնալ իրենց առաջին սիրո, Հիսուս Քրիստոսի, եւ նրանք վստահել նրան փորձությունների ու երջանիկ ժամանակներում.
Ի հիշատակ Հայոց ցեղասպանության:
Հարյուր եւ երկու տարի անց, մենք հիշում ենք կորուստներ եւ ձեռքբերումներ - «որովհետեւ ինծի համար, ապրիլը Քրիստոս է, ու մեռնիլը, շահ» (Փիլիպպեցիս 1:21):
Մենք հիշում ենք, որ Աստված էր մեր նախնիների, մեր նախահայրերի Աստվածը, Նա մեզ հետ, եւ կլինի ապագա սերունդների:
Նա երբեք չի թողել, որ նա երբեք չի.
Նրանց ցավը, մերը դարձավ:
Նրանց վիշտը, մերը:
Մենք սովորել ենք սգալու նրանց հետ, ովքեր սգում են.
Ժամանակին, մենք սովորեցինք ուրախանալ, բոլոր մեր սրտերում:
Մենք վկան էինք Տիրոջ ողորմությունը, նոր ամեն առավոտ, փայլում լույսը Նրա փառքի.
Նրանց արյունոտ մարմինները դարձել է մեկ հողի հետ:
Նրանց արցունքները էին ջուրը, որ ժամանակին, օգնեց նոր ծաղիկներ աճել.
«Բայց դուք, Աստված, ինքնիշխան են դեռ, եւ միշտ եւ յաւիտեանս ինքնիշխան: Դուք կստանաք մինչեւ քո գահի եւ օգնել Սիոնի- դա ժամանակն է կարեկից օգնության. Ախ, թե ինչպես է ձեր ծառաները սիրում եմ այս քաղաքի փլատակների եւ լաց կարեկցանքով նկատմամբ իր փոշու! Այն անաստված ազգերը պիտի նստել եւ ուշադրությամբ -Տես ձեր փառքը, ձեր երկրպագելու ավազանի անունով Երբ Աստված վերականգնում Սիոնի, երբ նա ցույց է տալիս, մինչեւ իր ամբողջ փառքի, Երբ նա հաճախում է աղոթքի թշվառ: Նա չի ազատում նրանց աղոթքը»: – Սաղմոս 102:12-17
